MƏIS is an Italian brand founded by Andrea Silla, a designer whose vision stems from a profound sensitivity to the visual arts and a natural inclination towards aesthetics.

From adolescence, Andrea explored the language of beauty through forms, colors, and materials, finding in fashion the most authentic medium to express his creativity.

After significant experiences in the Style Departments of renowned Maisons such as Dolce & Gabbana, Jean Paul Gaultier, and Dior, he refined a taste capable of merging sartorial elegance with a modern, decisive spirit. His creations draw inspiration from the visionary audacity of Gianni Versace and the timeless grace of Valentino, giving life to essential garments sculpted to enhance the personality of the wearer.

The name MƏIS is a tribute to Adriano Meis, the alter ego of Mattia Pascal in Luigi Pirandello’s famous novel: a symbol of rebirth, mutable identity, and personal freedom.

The schwa (Ə), chosen instead of the letter “e,” represents an idea of inclusivity and linguistic fluidity, reflecting a contemporary and open identity beyond any traditional definition.
